1. How do I install mundu IM once I have downloaded the product to my computer?
To install mundu IM on a Palm device:
Install PalmOne on your desktop.
Connect the device to your desktop through the HotSync cradle.
  1. Tap Goto Start Programs PalmOne HotSync Manager.
  2. Tap Goto Start Programs PalmOne Palm Desktop. The Palm Desktop window is displayed.
  3. Select Quick Install. The Open PalmOne Quick Install window is displayed.
  4. From the User drop-down list box, select the device name.
  5. Tap Goto File Add Files. The Open window is displayed.
  6. Select the mundu IM .prc file, which you want to install on the device.
  7. Tap Open.
  8. Tap the HotSync icon. The HotSync application is started.
  9. Tap the HotSync button on the Palm device.
    OR
    Press the HotSync button on the data cable.
2. How do I install mundu IM directly from my Palm device?
Using your Palm device web browser, choose the .prc download option from the Download page. Follow the indicated steps on your Mobile device.
3. How much space does mundu IM occupy on a Mobile device?
mundu IM occupies 940 KB on a Mobile device.
4. My organization forces me to use a proxy for internet access. Will mundu IM work with a proxy?
If your wireless internet access is through a proxy that does not require user authentication, mundu IM can connect to your IM services.
5. How do I find the version of mundu IM installed on my device?
Launch mundu IM application and tap on "mundu IM" on the top left corner in the Login Screen. Select "About mundu IM" from "Help". The Version and Build numbers are displayed here.
6. When logged in to certain IM services, can I check the login progress of other IM services?
Yes. For services where the login is in process, tap the red connecting ring in the Contacts List screen to check the login progress.
7. What is the sequential login process preference provided by mundu IM?
The sequential login process is a useful option when the network connection is not fast. When this option is enabled the user is logged into each of his IM services one by one in a serial fashion. In case the network connection is very fast and reliable, this option can be disabled.
8. What are the various views available for viewing contacts in the Contacts List?
The Contact list can be sorted based on "IM Services" or "Groups". And you can filter the contacts listed in the mundu IM contacts window to view all your contacts, view contacts by their nicks, or view contacts by their IM service IDs.

9. As I have a long list of contacts, I find it cumbersome to find the contact with whom I want to chat. How do I speed up the process of finding a contact?
Start typing in a name to search a contact from your long Contact's list.
10. Can I receive alerts even in the foreground mode?
You can choose to receive Alerts in different modes by setting the Preferences appropriately. To enable alerts in the foreground mode, navigate to Options Preferences Alerts. In the Alerts options available, select Enable Alerts in Foreground Mode and tap on OK.
11. What are the different types of alerts available in mundu IM? Can I customize these alerts as per my preference?
You can customize the alerts as per your preference. i.e. you can enable or disable them as you need. The various alerts available are:

12. How do I change the tone of the Sound Preference when I receive alerts?
To change the tone of the Sound Preference, select Options Preferences Alerts Sound Preferences Change Alert Tone.
13. Can I choose the colors in which an IM is received?
You cannot choose the colors in which you receive an IM. However, you can set preferences for sending IMs in different colors.
To change the color of the text sent in an IM:
Select Options Preferences IM Message text color and select the text color.
Select Options Preferences IM Contacts Name color and select the color in which the contact's name appears.
Select Options Preferences IM My Name color and select the color in which your name appears.
14. When multiple people send me messages, how do I identify the unread messages?
An unread message is identified by the icon (mail) present in the list of chats.
15. What are different languages that mundu IM supports?
Using mundu IM, you can chat in English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
16. Can I set my status message when I am in Background mode?
No. This feature is currently not available.
17. I am used to signing into my IM services in the morning every day. Can I set a timer such that it is done on a daily basis?
Yes. Navigate to Options Preferences Login Schedule Login and logout.
18. How do I view the archived messages?
To view the archived messages, from the main menu navigate to
View View saved messages.
19. I keep forgetting to switch off my network once I finish chatting. Is there an option available to log me off the net automatically?
To log off the net automatically, from the main menu navigate to
Options Preferences Login Close the Internet Connection if no service is logged into.
20. What are the services that support offline messages in mundu IM?
Currently, offline messages can only be received for Yahoo and Jabber services.
21. If I am disconnected due to temporary network errors, does mundu IM reconnect to the IM services I was logged on to?
Yes. mundu IM attempts to reconnect to the IM services you were logged on to, as soon as it detects a disconnection in the network. If the attempt fails the first time, you will remain disconnected from those services. In this case, you need to explicitly re-login to those services.
