1. How do I install mundu IM once I have downloaded the product to my computer?
Before installing mundu IM, ensure that Microsoft ActiveSync is installed on the system.

- Follow the instructions on http://messenger.mundu.com/downloads to download the mundu IM CAB file for Windows Smartphone on to your PC or MAC.
- Plug the data cable in the USB port of the computer system and in the device. The Microsoft ActiveSync software detects and connects the device to the computer system.
- In the Microsoft ActiveSync screen, click Explore. The device explorer opens.
- Select My Windows Mobile-Based Device and navigate to the location where you want to place the downloaded mundu IM CAB file.
- Copy and paste the CAB file in the preferred location.
- On the device, open File Explorer and navigate to the location where you have pasted the CAB file and open it. An Installation screen appears indicating that the installation is in progress. On completing the installation, a Confirmation screen appears.
- Select Yes to confirm the installation of mundu IM.
2. How do I install mundu IM directly from my Windows Mobile device?
Using your Windows Mobile device web browser, choose the .CAB download option from the Download page. Follow the indicated steps on your Mobile device.
Note that you must have the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 also installed on your Mobile device to use the application.

3. How do I find the version of mundu IM running on my device?
To find out the version of mundu:
- Login to one of the services using mundu IM.
- Select "Help" from "Menu", and then select "About mundu IM". The Version and Build numbers are displayed here.
4. How much space is occupied on the Mobile device with mundu IM?
The mundu IM application occupies 2.44 MB of memory space on the device. If the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 files are also copied during the setup process, an additional space of 2.1 MB is occupied on the device.
5. What are the different display modes available to view my Contact's list?

6. As have a long list of contacts, I find it very cumbersome to find the contact with whom I want to chat. How do I speed up the process of finding a contact?
You can find the contact by using the Search option. The steps to search are as follows:

- Type the user ID of the contact to be searched and select Search . The focus is moved on to the required contact.
7. Can I view my buddy's photograph when I am chatting?
In mundu IM, Yahoo, Gtalk and ICQ services support the Avatar feature where the buddy photograph can be viewed while chatting.
8. While running mundu IM in the background, do I receive an alert when a buddy sends me an IM?
Yes. An alert can be received when a contact sends an IM to a user in background mode.

9. Which are the different languages mundu IM supports?
The different languages in which you can chat are English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Chinese and major Indian languages.
10. How do I view the archived messages?
Once you are logged in to a particular service, the Contacts list is shown with the View and Menu options. To view the archived messages:

11. What are the services that support offline messages in mundu IM?
Offline messages are currently received only for Yahoo and Jabber services.
12. The archived messages take up a lot of space on my device. Is there an option to regularly delete these messages?
Yes. mundu IM V4 allows you a preference of automatically deleting your archived messages. You can specify the number of days after which the messages should be deleted. The default is every 7 days.
13. Do I need to install .NET Compact Framework on my device?
mundu IM V4 requires the device to be pre-loaded with .NET Compact Framework v 2.0. If the device is not pre-loaded, the installation process automatically copies the necessary
.NET Compact Framework 2.0 files on to your device.
14. I have purchased and installed mundu IM on my device when the OS was WM5. Later I upgraded to WM6. Now mundu complains that the permitted number of licenses are already active. How do I make this work on my new OS?
It was seen that the license key for mundu IM needs to be "migrated" before you flash your OS, so that it can be re-activated after the new OS is put in.
